About WestBrook Homes NW, Inc.
Westbrook Homes NW is a family owned and operated new home construction company. Based in Bend in Central Oregon, and with projects in Klamath Falls in Southern Oregon, we have served the Pacific Northwest for many years.
Dick Lowell, the principal owner of Westbrook Homes NW, has over 30 years of real estate experience. He started as a construction laborer in high school for his father's business, Lowell Homes, in Portland. He later worked as a customer service representative for a small builder, then spent nineteen years as a corporate officer of a financial institution, involved in appraising, lending, land development, remodeling and new construction. He then moved on to new home construction in the Puget Sound area as owner of Lowell Homes, Inc. A native Oregonian, Central Oregon and the Bend area in particular, beckoned, with its High Desert beauty and relaxed lifestyle. Westbrook Homes NW was born with the opening of Westbrook Meadows, an 82 lot subdivision in Bend on the way to Mount Bachelor and Century Drive with its many lakes. Soon son-in-law Lyle Bush followed to Bend, and joined the firm as superintendent. Then son Josh Lowell followed suit, moving from Anchorage to Bend to join the firm as superintendent as well, continuing the family tradition of fine home building.
Education is an important aspect of quality construction, and Westbrook Homes supports a strong educational commitment to our staff. Josh and Lyle are both Certified Residential Construction Superintendents, Dick and Lyle hold the Certified Master Builder designations, and Lyle has a CAPS designation ( Certified Aging in Place Specialist).
Awards: Dick Lowell has received numerous awards for Street of Dreams and Tour of Homes houses over the years. In addition he was awarded the Central Oregon Builders Association Builder of the Year Award for an unprecedented two years in a row, for 2004 and 2005.
